A Memorial Slideshow is an Excellent Way to Honor a Loved One
Published on March 15, 2021
OurBeloved.com is pleased to announce the Memorial Slideshow feature. This new feature was designed to allow users to share uploaded photos in a special way. When the Slideshow is activated, up to 60 photos can rotate in the photo viewer to the sound of the selected or uploaded music. Each photo appears for 4 seconds, and then advances to the next.
Photos are uploaded on the Photos page. They can be easily positioned in the desired order by dragging them into position. The Photos page displays all images and allows them to be viewed one by one together with any descriptive text that is provided. They can also be linked to a related website or web page.
It is recommended to use large images, as large or larger than 1000 pixels in width or 1000 pixels in height. Smaller images are ok, but they may not be as easy to see.
When activated, all uploaded photos can display in a Slideshow. When the Slideshow link is clicked, a full page viewer opens. When the play button is clicked, the selected music begins and the photos display one by one.
The Slideshow feature is ideal for memorial or funeral services. Paying someone to put a slideshow together can cost hundreds of dollars. And when it’s done, it’s done. Not with OurBeloved.com. Anyone unable to attend can view the slideshow directly on the Tribute Site, just be clicking Slideshow on the navigation menu. If desired, the Slideshow can be kept private, not accessible online, simply by clicking a toggle button in the Dashboard.
Slideshows are of particular value during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, because of social distancing restrictions, family and friends are unable to join together as they normally would for a service. OurBeloved.com makes it possible to create a virtual memorial site, known as a Tribute Site. These feature a homepage with a photo and basic information, a services page, photos, the slideshow, a tributes page, and more.
The Slideshow feature allows users to choose from a selection of tasteful melodies to accompany their slideshow. Users can also easily upload an MP3 or MP4 file to accompany their slideshow. The slides continue to rotate as long as the music plays. They can also be advanced or paused.
You will find OurBeloved.com’s Slideshow feature to be easy to use, beautifully designed, and very uplifting. They are an excellent way to honor your loved one’s memory.
